Other Hugh Margerum projects...

As a riff on Magritte’s famous pipe painting, and other versions (Banksy), I installed my Grandpa’s actual pipe on a utility pole in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone.

I took my Grandpa’s pipe, sanded it down on one side, affixed it in a frame, mimicked Magritte’s lettering, and mounted it high on a utility pole in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. It was there for a couple years and may have been noticed by a few observant souls. It is now gone.


Annual New Years Day Polar Dip

Julie DeAngelis and I started this community camaraderie event which takes place at Santa Barbara’s East Beach every January 1st at 11am.

Collaborative Tic Tac Toe games

In 2012 I arranged to meet and have a creative game of Tic Tac Toe with artists, friends, and community members. Some of the results are below.
